Social Studies 8 - Today we reviewed some key battles of the Civil War and paid close attention to the Battle of Antietam.  We then covered the Battle of Fredericksburg.

Tonight's Homework - Hand-in the Legacy of Slavery on Wednesday


APUSH - Today we discussed Adams' Administration and started to look at Thomas Jefferson as president.  

Students need to pick up reading on the Louisiana Purchase since most will not be in class tomorrow due to PSATs.  Please read the Ellis chapter for Thursday.

Social Studies 8 - Today we discussed the North's 3-part plan, the Anaconda Plan, to win the Civil War.  We then discussed the clash of the Ironclads and the Battle of Shiloh as part of the Civil War.  We watched a 5 and 10 minute clip on the two battles.

HOMEWORK - None - Enjoy the long weekend!





APUSH - Today we discussed the Development of Political Parties and watched a 10-minute clip from Joseph Ellis' Founding Brothers.
