Social Studies 8 -  Today we read excerpts from Upton Sinclair's The Jungle.  As we read we inventoried the different aspects of the muckraking novel.  Homework is to read Chapter 21, Section 4 starting on page 617.

SS 8-  Today in class we watched two video clips on poverty in America.  One concentrated on Jane Addams and the other was a 21st century example from CBS' Sunday Morning.  We further discussed the negative aspects that often coincide with Industrialization.

APUSH - Today in class we started by watching a 9-minute video on the presidency of Ulysses S Grant (linked below).  We then started the lesson on the "Gilded Age Presidents."
